Hello, did you follow the domain rename guide? If Exchange is installed please keep in mind that ONLY exchange 2003 support domain rename. Also earlier OS then Windows server 2003 with functional level Windows server 2003 are not allowed.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, please stick to one thread for the same problem: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winservergen/thread/b8c9b10d-907b-4235-9850-d25108787c7b And if Exchange 2007 or 2010 is installed in a domain, domain rename is NOT supported configuration. I have no idea if it may work but with all occuring problems you are NOT SUPPORTED by Microsoft.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, with Exchange 2010 (You specified in your other threads that you are using it), domain renaming operation is not supported by Microsoft. More information here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738208(WS.10).aspx It will be better to create a new domain in a new forest with the wanted name and then use ADMT to migrate AD objects. For Exchange questions, post in Exchange forums. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. Hi Customer, DNS domain rename is supported in Exchange Server 2003. However, renaming of the NetBIOS domain name is not supported in any version of Exchange Server.
