need to disable system restore
I've gotten the virus fakealert on my server 2003 and need to disable system restore as part of my fix,but can't seem to locate systemrestore... does windows server 2003 have systemrestore?

I don't believe that Server 2003 has an automatedSystem Restore option like XP and Vista. This is usually achieved by System State backups during your servers backup procedures.

no, Windows Server operating systems doesn't have System Restore. To restore particular files, you may restore files from Volume Shadow Copy snapshots, or, if system files are damaged, use sfc /scannow (I assume that you haven't a backup).[http://www.sysadmins.lv]
