i have windows 2000 desktop pc with a hp printer. im trying to network with a laptop with vista on it . every time i print from laptop i have to reinstall the printer on my laptop before it will print , does anyone know why it does this?

Hi, Did you mean the printer worked properly on the Windows 2000 computer, however, when you connected the printer to a Windows Vista laptop, you encountered some problem, it never works until you reinstall it on the laptop. If so, I recommend that you contact Hp to check the compatibility of the printer with Windows Vista. By the way, please also check whether the printer works on some other system such as Windows XP, Windows 7. Best Regards, Vincent Hu
