my server is having a problem due to the registry lost some of its permission in the first registry key in the system and now the system boots up but all the program and function are gone how can the system could be restored with out reinstalling the operating system and all the files . after boothing the server i got this error ptogram C:\Windows\systems32\nvvsvc.exe the applicationhas requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way please contact applications support team for more information

How did you lost the default permissons of the registry ? If you want the default permisson restored you might repair the server using the dvd and the error you are getting on the screen can be resolved from here Remove the refrences from here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run or from MSCONFIG click the startup tab and find the refrence there. http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin
