moving a public cert from one server to another
Hello, we have a client that has completely scrapped their old server/domain, etc. We are rolling out all new servers to their network (including a new domain). They secured their OWA site with a public cert from go daddy on their old 2003 exchange server. We would like to put that cert on their new exchange 2007 server that is running on Windows 2008 Standard. Is there a way to do this? If so, how? Thank you.

use the MMC for Certificates and choose Computer a sthe source. Go to the the personal folder under the computer and the Certificates folder and right mouse click on the cert and select export and ensure you choose the option to export the private key. Hello In addition to what MCNS10 said, you may want to first call GoDaddy to make sure you can transfer the certificate before you start the process. Will you be using the same domain name as the previous cert? of a new domain name? If it is a new name, then GoDaddy might prob require you to get a new cert..Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Award (MCC-2011)
