lost connectivity over weekend
We seem to have lost some but not all connectivity between three offices connected via MPLS WAN link over the weekend.
Symptoms are as follows: Office 1 can connect to office 2 and office 3 resources without issue. Office 2 and 3 can connect each other without issue, and to some office 1 resources (i.e. the internal shares on an ftp server) but cannot connect
to other network shares, nor rdp into the servers directly.
All resources respond to ping with FQDN from all offices.
Interestingly enough from office 2 resources that are not "available" can be "made" available to Win 7 x64 client by connecting to the network share using the IP address. Once this has been done, shares are available via FQDN and NetBios name. Also,
after connecting to the share, RDP connection works from the Win 7 x64 client. The above steps do not restore connectivity when performed on an XP SP3 client however.
The WAN link has been checked and pronounced sound by the service provider.
Nothing has been changed on the infrastructure over the weekend.
Ideas?
