kerberos error id 4
Hi we keep getting this error on our main server: Event Type: Error Event Source: Kerberos Event Category: None Event ID: 4 Date: 24/10/2008 Time: 16:00:54 User: N/A Computer: V1PDC Description: The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server V2MAIL$. The target name used was HOVEPARK\V2MAIL$. This indicates that the password used to encrypt the kerberos service ticket is different than that on the target server. Commonly, this is due to identically named machine accounts in the target realm (HOVEPARK.LOCAL), and the client realm. Please contact your system administrator.VP1DC is the main DC, DNS server and V2MAIL is an exchange 2000 box in the same domain and site. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? also why does the error come up with V2MAIL$? i have had a look on various forums about it being a DNS issue or something to do with computer accounts either not deleted/demoted properly or with the same account name, but we have none of these issues.Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.Thanks.Chris Percy.
