I am logged in as administrator. Have downloaded file SQLServer2005_SSMSEE_x64 (windows installer package). When I run this file to install the software I get the error code 29506. How do I install it?

Dude this is very easy to install there are many restrictions in windows 7. Stlictly secured operating system than Windows XP so u need to run this with administrator permission for this follow certain steps..

1) Click start menu.

2) Type "cmd" in the "search programs and files" box.

3) Then u will find a cmd file in the menu Right Click on the cmd and click "Run as Administrator"

4) Now type C:\Users\[Ur Computer Name]\Downloads\SQLServer2005_SSMSEE_x64.msi" 

Note: For the final step to happen ur downloaded microsoft sqlserver management studio file should be in this location "C:\Users\gayathri\Downloads" and for ur computer name u can check out in the My Computer Properties.
