That approach is specifically for IPSec DOS protection. I would suggest you look at a network device or firewall solution that you place in front of your game servers to provide DOS protection. If you want a software solution, you could look at the flood mitigation features in the Forefront TMG firewall as discussed here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc995196.aspx Cheers JJJason Jones | Forefront MVP | Silversands Ltd | My Blogs: http://blog.msedge.org.uk and http://blog.msfirewall.org.uk

Hi Alfred, "...can you do that" - er, no, not really. Microsoft Forefront TMG is a software firewall that would be deployed onto a dedicated server in your network. You could alternatively buy this server as a dedicated appliance from a vendor like Celestix Networks. The Flood Mititgation feature is part of the software firewall features that are included in the Forefront TMG product and provides some basic protection. It sounds to me like you may be better looking a network device to place in front of your game servers that is designed to specifically protect against DOS, but these tend to be VERY expensive!!! I suggested a Forefront TMG firewall as a cheaper alternative, as network DOS devices are generally quite expensive. However, you may need some help from a local TMG consultant to implement it... That looks like a home PC solution, not a network firewall solution...Jason Jones | Forefront MVP | Silversands Ltd | My Blogs: http://blog.msedge.org.uk and http://blog.msfirewall.org.uk

Hi, If you need further assistance about TMG, I suggest you create a new thread in the TMG forum. The support professional there are more familiar with it and can help you in a more efficient way.
