iSCSI Target Software
I am a little confused about MS iSCSI target software and for who and where it is available. I do have a Dell server running Windows 2003 Storage Server, but I cannot find iSCSI target anywhere, also not for download on MS site. I have contacted Dell multiple times regarding this issue and got no response. Could anyone with more experience fill me in?! Many thanks

Hello ozeeo,as far as i know, the MS iSCSI target is only available in the version of the Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003 (WUDSS 2003). WUDSS (which includes the Microsoft iSCSI Software Target) is only available via OEMs like HP and Dell. It is not provided via other Microsoft sales channels like software retailers or volume licensing. You can find more information about WUDSS 2003 (including how to buy it from an OEM) at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/storage/wudss.mspx. Hope this can helps. Thanks and regards,ScorprioMCTS: Windows Vista | Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Enterpise Support Technician | Server & Enterprise Admin

Hi, I agree with Scorprio, Microsoft iSCSI target software it unavailable via other Microsoft sales channels like software retailers or volume licensing. If you cant find the iSCSI via OEMs, you may consider the alternate iSCSI target software, any third-party iSCSI Target software will serve for your purposes. For your convenience, I have list the related link as followed. MySAN iSCSI Server Software http://www.nimbusdata.com/products/mysan.php StarWind iSCSI Target http://www.starwindsoftware.com/ NOTE: This response contains a reference to a third party World Wide Web site.
