As far as I know, what you are asking is not possible.I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.

You might be able to do this with NAP/NPAS: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731321(v=ws.10)

I don't think that is possible. For a user to log in and authenticate against a domain controller, the client computer must have a working network interface along with a valid IP address. You can, however, reserve an IP address in DHCP for a dedicated host, but not for a user.

Hello, this is NOT possible. DHCP works during startup of computers BEFORE users logon. And the process is machine triggered as the workstation broadcasts for a DHCP lease and a DHCP server will offer this, so the client can use it or not.Best regards Meinolf Weber MVP, MCP, MCTS Microsoft MVP - Directory Services My Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/mweber/ Disclaimer: This posting is provided AS IS with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
