hash values after patching
Every month, on the second Tuesday Microsoft send out vulnerability updates and for that I would like to say thank you. It is nice to have them on a schedule. However, I have one question that has haunted me since I started working as a system administrator. Why can't we get a list of the new hashes for the files that have been changed? It seems like something that should be very easy for Microsoft produce, a simple FCIV run after a test of the update. Maybe I am over simplifying it but having the hashes available in the KB articles would make so many security analyst life easier. Am I crazy? Is this already being done but I just haven't made it to the end of the correct rainbow?

I have been thinking the same and would like to see this. Also an update for the FCIV program would be nice. I read about problems under Windows Server 2008 R2.
