I am not an IT specialist, is there no easy way to stop google from highjacking my computer, it keeps uploading from Facebook without my permission , not even asking me. Tying up my system and highjacking my explorer????  need a couple of steps not an IT degree.

I am pretty sure that you have overlooked "offer" and have not uncheched it. Chrome comes with various free programs and web pages. You can blame yourself. You have not been careful enough.

Better forum for general public is answers.microsoft.com as some IT knowledge is expected in current forum.
