I have 2 stand alone desktops XP that are now experiencing simular problems. I am receiving a "run time error",the window's installer is not working, and .Net Framework 1.1 continues to download with an intall errer. I have 1.1 installed on both computers, plus .Net Framewok 1.1 hot fix, 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2, 3.5 SP1 on both of my computers. MS update keeps trying to install 1.1 and gives an error can not complete installation. Why is it trying to install again? I try to send email via Outlook Express and Window Installer runs and runs never stops so I have to cancel it.
