I am trying to V2V convert a VMWare VM to Hyper-V and I receive this error:

Errot (13234)

The format of the file on server hyperVhost.mydomain.com is not supported.

internal error code: 0x809933B2

Recommended Action

Refer t othe Virtual Machine Manager help for the list of supported VMDK file formats. Ensure that the format is listed as supported, and then try the operation again.

1st of all, I searched SCVMM help and found nothing about supported VMDK formats. I am sure it's there I just could not find it.

2nd there is nothing unusual about this particular VMWare VM, and I have converted another machine from the same VMWare host without a problem

I am not sure how to start troubleshooting this issue.

BTW:

SCVMM 2012 sp1

hyper-v host is Server2012 Datacenter

VMWare host is ESXi 5.0.0

VM is Server2003R2
