Somehow, I got conduit protect on my laptop. This is a personal laptop and admin should not apply however, it tells me I cannot remove it because of admin authority. How do I fix these issues?

Hi BFaye,

Could you tell us are your computer joined to domain? Which account you are using now? If your computer has joined to domain and you need get the administrator permission, you can join your domain user account to Local Administrators group. You can logon your local administrator account to add it  or connect you can ask your domain administrator for further help.

After your domain account joined the Local Administrators group you can remove others admin account.

If you are refering to "Conduit Search toolbar, it's a very involved process to clean out, but the good news it can be done. Simply uninstalling the program will not work. It includes using JRT tool made to remove hijack browser malware.

I have had success following these instructions - http://bit.ly/conduitremoval
