disappear shorcuts and administrative tools in 2008 server
Hi,
If the administrative tools in control panel is empty, then it seems that you delete them accidently. The files in administrative tools
are shortcuts, you can copy them from another Windows Server 2008 computer.
Note: You can go to folder “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools” on
Windows Server 2008 computer and then copy those shortcuts to the problematic computer.
By the way, the “Windows PE Tools Command” you mentioned is also a short in start menu. You can proceed to “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\” folder, create folder with name “Windows AIK”.
In
“Windows AIK” folder, with the following steps, you will be able to get the shortcut back.
1. Right click to create a Shortcut.
2. Type C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools\pesetenv.cmd" in the “Type the location
of the item” box, client next.
3. Type Deployment Tools Command Prompt in the “Type a name for this shortcut” box, click Finish.
4. Right click on the new created shortcut, select Properties.
5. In the Start in box, type "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\".
6. In the Comment box, type Perform a backup or recovery of this server.
Reproduce the above steps and you will be able to create shortcut for Windows System Image Manager.
Here are the screen shorts for WAIK.

Hi,
In Customize Start Menu, proceed to System administrative tools, select “Display on the All Programs menu” or “Display on the All Programs
menu and the Start menu”.
By the way, if some shortcuts are missing, you can get it back like the following post.
Windows Server Backup 2008 EXE. Missing
