disable the strong password
How to disable the strong password policy on Server 2008?I tried on the Local Security Policy, but the Password Policy is disabled for me to change.I think it should be on the setting of Domain's Policy. But where is it?Thanks,Joe.

When an option is greyed out it means a Group Poloicy Object is set on a higher level.Using rsop.msc you can find out which policy on which level (Local settings, Active Directory site settings, Active Directory Domain settings or settings on a particular Organizational Unit) sets the setting. When you find the specific Group Policy Object (GPO) in which the setting is defined open it (using Group Policy Management Console or Active Directory Users and Computers) and change the setting in the following context: Computer Settings Windows Settings Security Settings Account Policies Password Policy Password must meet complexity requirements
