create a report in 2008 R2 similar to the SBS reports
I'm looking to create a scheduled backup report for Windows Server Backup that gets emailed... on Server 2008 R2... similar to the SBS reports in 2008 and 2011. Does anyone have a way to do this using task scheduler or something? TIAricardo

You might look around here http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter or ask them here. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ITCG/threads Regards, Dave Patrick .... I will post there as well if you suggest. Is there a switch in wbadmin or something to pipe the job to file? I'd be happy with a post-job batch file that emailed a link to the latest logfile that had results for the job. where are the logfiles for WSB? ricardo

Hi, Besides to above suggestion, I suggest you check the following script. http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/WSB-Backup-network-email-9793e315

jeff, I don't appreciate you marking my question as answered 12 hours after I asked it. I saw the script that you linked to... that's not what I'm looking for. I don't want to call my backup jobs from a vbscript. I want a notification that my backups worked or didn't, without opening an mmc.ricardo
