configuration IP fixe on server XP pro
Dear All, I have to Install my IP fix address (that I already received from my ISP) on the XP pro server. Actually, the server will be use for a SQL Dbase who would be permanently available for my clients and collaborators's personnal informations (modification, registrations, etc)1) I heard that we can use XP pro as a server. How can I configure it? 2)After configuration of the serverr "pro xp", how there to configure the address IP (fix) sets up? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Summary! 1) We have a management program2) a stationary IP3) a basis of data SQLA) My stationary computer (will call it computer A) will be used as a server so that my clients and collaborators can register themselves (through a form on my site of which the link will be some does my IP sets up but masked). B) My "computer A" will be permanently ON. This way, my collaborators will always have access to my data basis, the customers to their bills, the translators to their translations, inscriptions and bill, me to the account etc... etc.. etc. C) I have to install (if I was well advised) this "famous" IP address on the XP pro server. I really have a hard time to fix it all.. Do you have any idea of which "protocole" I hace to follow to make it work? Thanks in advance for your help.Best RegardsRenaud
