compare user profiles
Hi guys,
I have a problem with an application. Here's a situation overview:
1. PC member of domain and placed in container A (with multiple user and computer GPO's).
2. logon to the computer (UserA) (1st time) local profile folder is created
3. logon to app webpage
4. no joy
5. move PC to container B (no GPO's what so ever)
6. reboot PC
7. logon with same user step 2
8. still no joy on the webpage
9. logon with another user (userB) (1st time)
10. start app webpage JOY!!!!
11. Delete UserA local profle
12. logon UserA and start app webpage JOY!!!!
13. move computer back to container A
14. reboot computer
15. logon with userA
16. start app webpage JOY !!!!
17. Delete profile UserA
18. Logon UserA and start app webpage NO JOY!!!
19. Logon UserB and start app webpage JOY!!
Why can't UserA start the app webpage (when local profile is created while PC is in OU A) and UserB can start app webpage (when local profile i created while PC is in OU B)?????
What is the difference? Both users logon to the machine while the PC is in OU A and 1 user can start the app (profile created when PC is in OU B) and 1 user cannot start app (profile created when PC is in OU A)???
Does anybody have a clue????
Is there a good way to compare the local profiles of the users?
Thanks for thinking along.

Hi Jack,
Please provide us more information on the application and the “app webpage”. What is the detailed error message received when trying to “logon to
app webpage”? Are user A and user B domain users under the same OU or group structure? Please check it on your side. If not, please use an user with same OU or group structure for test and update us the results. What is the OS version of the computer?
For your inquiry on how to compare local user profile folder, you may consider using some third party tools, please refer to the following links:
