clean server
How do i get my server to boot to cd with no disk drive? I was told to make a cross-over cable but I am clueless where to go from there.

Do you have a bootable USB thumb drive somewhere? That would be the only way I could think of to get it working. Otherwise, spend $50 on a USB CD/DVD drive. This link may give you a head start on how to configure things if you do happen to have a USB thumbdrive. http://kurtsh.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!DA410C7F7E038D!1665.entry

hi there,
Above said are valid ways to install an OS provided you do not have a cd rom drive to install OS.
there is also another possible way which might be bit advance but just want to let you know and its using PXE boot.
usually PXE boot corresponds to network boot where you have a client without any drive / OS and you boot to the network wher you have deployed server hosting OS images called RIS server and clients download the OS images and install them which requires DHCP server
