changing static IP of a RODC
We have RODC setup with an static IP in one of our sites. Now we need to move this RODC to a new site where the static IPs are different. Please advise if it is ok to change the static ip of the RODC, will this complicate the production enviroment? Do we need to take anything else into consideration? Thanks Philip

You can move the domain controller to another site with no problem as long as routing is correctly configured between subnets so it can replicate with other DC's. Make sure that name resolution is also functional and remember to make possible necessary adjustments, like configuring in the dhcp scope the proper DNS servers (if rodc is DNS)... Also there is an article from microsoft regarding changeing the ip address of a DC: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc794931(v=ws.10).aspx In short, there should be no issue. Hope it helps.MCTS - Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, I agree with Marius. You can safely move the RODC to the new site with no problem. You can refer to the following procedure to finish the task. Hope it helps.
