cannot upload folders to a shared folder
I have a server setup running windows sever 2008 with a few test shares. I can get them to work with files, but none of them will accept uploading folders to them.
I've tried domain and stand alone namespaces, as well as just standard shares. I am trying to get a fileshare up for a network running mostly W7 or XP.
Any thoughts?

Please make sure that your users have at least the Change permission for the share permissions and the Modify permission for the NTFS permissions.

So what is the error message?
Please make sure that you gave the right users the NTFS and the share permissions I suggested.

Hi,
I also would like to suggest you turn off UAC feature on the problematic system to test the issue.
1.
Open User Accounts by clicking the
Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking
User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking
User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking
User Accounts.
2.
Click
Turn User Account Control on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If the issue persists, please post the sharing and NTFS permissions as “Meinolf Weber” required for our further research.
Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
