can't use full bandwidth!!!
I've tried Windows Longhorn Server for 2 times. When I run an application directly on the network, it takes me at least 5 minutes before the UAC appears. So I tried to download the exe to my C drive and run. This is a very big file (about 400 something MB). I tried to copy it using Windows Explorer (GUI) but it always failed. The message is like "Error accessing \\server\share\bigapp.exe
Make sure that you have connected to the network and try again."
So I try to use xcopy.exe to copy it. I opened Task Manager and clicked the Networking tab. While it was copying, the network usage was just 0. something %!(The link is 100Mbps)I created a share on the server and tried to upload the file from the client (using Windows XP) to the server. It tells me "181 minutes remaining"!! After that, I decided not to use Windows Vista unless a solution to this was found.
