can't upgrade Win Server 2008 R2 SP1 in Intranet
I wanna update the server located in my company (Intranet) I downloaded the sp1 file windows6.1-kb976932-x64.exe, and I ran it, but after a certain time the installation freezed, on the progressbar with the information downloading the xxxxxxx.cab. I think this needs a Internet connection, but this server is located in a Intranet environment. How can I get the upgrade work through. Thanks.

Hello, personally I have not installed SP1 on a 2008 R2 server manually without internet connection and AFAIK manual installation does not require internet. Please proceed like the following: Run chkdsk /r /f Run sfc /scannow Download and install System Readiness Tool for Window Server 2008 R2 Once done, try again. If the problem persist, connect your server to internet and check again. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
