boot mode wont start
I turned on my computer and it went into this menu where i could run a startup repair program or start windows normally. I started the repair program to try and fix whatever was wrong but it found nothing wrong. I told me to remove any new camera devices or media devices. I had not recently installed anything new, but i disconnected all my devices anyways. It still will not start correctly. I hit F8 in startup, and tried to boot in safe mode, but it keeps freezing on this file named windows/system32/drivers/crcdisk.sys. What is this crcdisk.sys file.im not bothered about keeping any existing files, i just want to be able to use and access the dekstop and internet again! please help<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Hello bennett20, To involve more community members to discuss on the issue, could you please elaborate more on the issue? For example, what is the number of the security update? What is the detailed information before the system try to pass crcdisk.sys on the screen? What is the hardware of the problematic server? System fails with bluescreen on crcdisk.sys Similar issue described in : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00710606/c00710606.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN To narrow down the root cause of the issue, we need to analyze the crash dump file. As it is not effective for us to debug the crash dump file here in the forum, if you want to know the root cause and the resolution, I would like to suggest that you contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;OfferProPhone#faq607 Hope the issue will be resolved soon.
