azure portal login problem

I now always see...

"The Windows Azure Portal encountered an error while trying to access your subscription.".

when I try to login to the portal.

Any ideas on how I can debug this problem.  My MSDN subscription is valid.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this here!

Error "The Windows Azure Portal encountered an error while trying to access your subscription", there are many reasons why you get this error message. To list few:

1) Wrong account selected during sign-in

2) You are the Account Administrator of the Subscription but not the Service Administrator

3) A problem with the subscription

4) When adding a user as co-admin or assign a Service Administrator, the wrong identity was chosen

5) Invalid cookie state in the browser

In order to fix this issue, you may follow the steps below:

Clear off cache, cookies from IE
Close the IE browser. Make sure the IE process are closed from  task manager
Open a fresh browser and try accessing the portal

If the issue is still persisting, then try new URL, for example https://manage.windowsazure.com/microsoft.onmicrosoft.com instead of https://manage.windowsazure.com/microsoft.com,or https://manage.windowsazure.com/?whr=microsoft.com

Hi Sadiqh,

Thanks for the answer.  The solution was generally in line with your recommendations

that the problem may be browser related.  I had been using a saved bookmark

to access the portal.  When I instead googled to find the portal, I was able to

log in.  Even recently, my bookmark worked ok. Alas, no longer.
