If you are looking at is from the local stand point the AdministratorS is a group in which you can add multiple accounts to that will have full access over the computer / server. "Administrator" as just an account that you can enable/disable and use as the local admin account. Kind of like the other default account called Guest.

Does this make sense?

Hello,

Administrator = single user account

Administrators = Security group containing multiple accounts that should have administrative permissions

Hi,

As Meinolf pointed out above, Administrator is a user account for the system administrator. This account is the first account created during operating system installation.

Administrators is a built-in security group . After the initial installation of the operating system, the Administrator account by default, is the only member of the Administrators group.

This Administrators group has built-in capabilities that give its members full control over the system, so if you want to grant any user the administrative permission, you can add the user into this group.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Eth
