if its a X64 you really dont need any thing. If you have x86 installed os in this case you should enable PAE Windows automatically enables PAE if DEP is enabled on a computer that supports hardware-enabled DEP, or if the computer is configured for hot-add memory devices in memory ranges beyond 4 GB. If the computer does not support hardware-enabled DEP or is not configured for hot-add memory devices in memory ranges beyond 4 GB, PAE must be explicitly enabled. To explicitly enable PAE, use the following BCDEdit /set command to set the pae boot entry option: bcdedit /set [{ID}] pae ForceEnable IF DEP is enabled, PAE cannot be disabled. Use the following BCDEdit /set commands to disable both DEP and PAE: bcdedit /set [{ID}] nx AlwaysOffbcdedit /set [{ID}] pae ForceDisable http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366796%28v=vs.85%29.aspx http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Hi Nicolas, If it is Windows Server 2008 Standard x86, it can support up to 4GB memory. If it is Windows Server 2008 Standard x64, it can support up to 32GB memory. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778(v=vs.85).aspx Tim Quan TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
