activation issue with wrong vista version
I just finished a vista install and went to activate it only to find out that its the wrong download image. Specifically, I downloaded the vista ultimate image sp1 (from eopen) instead of the enterprise version and now I can't acticvate it. The warning says I can use a different setup disk, but I am not sure what it is saying. Does anyone know if I can run some sort of mini-setup with the enterise version to "downgrade" my vista from ultimate to enterprise? That way I can complete the activation process.thanksin advance.glennGB

No. There is a warning about that when you install an OS without specifying a product key. If you install using a product key, the installer will install the OS version matching the key and you can activate it. If you install the OS without specifying a key it intalls the OS version you specify. You can only activate it if you have a product key for that OS.Bill
