You experience high memory usage in the W3wp.exe process on a Windows Server 2003-based computer that has Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 installed

Hi,I have a study on the memory utilization on a server. System is Microsoft Windows 2003 and service pack 2.But still w3wp.exe causes high memory utilization. Please help.Thanks.Jovanz

Hi jovanz, It is vey difficult to predict the root cause of the problem without analyzing the memory dump of the process and in this situation you have two options a) use adplus dump utility for dumping the process memory and analyze the stack for the root cause b) contact microsoft for getting your dump analyzed. For further information you can post your query in IIS forums for additional information http://forums.iis.net
