Hi, This issue may occur if a system thread generates an exception that the error handler does not catch. You receive this error message if one or more of the following conditions are true: 1. If this issue occurs after the first restart during Windows Setup, or after the Setup program is finished, the computer may not have sufficient hard disk space to run Windows. 2. If this issue occurs after the first restart during Windows Setup, or after Setup is complete, the computer BIOS may be incompatible with Windows. 3. Incompatible video adapter drivers. 4. A damaged device driver or system service. 5. If the issue is associated with the Win32k.sys file, it may be caused by a third-party remote control program. About how to solve this issue, please refer to the following KB to find more information: How to troubleshoot a Stop 0x0000007E error in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330182 You receive a stop error 0x7E in Pci.sys http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839641 Also, for Windows XP related issues, to receive full attention and better assistance, please follow Syed's suggestion to post in Windows XP queue.
