XP machine shuts off instead of restarting?
All the XP machines with SP3 when you click on Shut Down machines shut down but when you click on Restart machine still shuts off? Windows 2003 Server must be a policy of some sort on the server? All the computers have different motherboards so it's no BIOS or driver outdated. Once they are joined to the server it's when it happens. Any ideas?

Hi, You can try to perform the following suggestions: 1. Please try to disable the network adapter of the computer 2. Reboot the computer 3. Try to restart the computer to see whether you get the same issue. If the issue continues, please try to boot the computer into Safe Mode to test whether you get the same issue. By the way, according to the description, the issue seems to be related to Windows XP. As we mainly focus on the General question about Windows Server system and here is not the best support resource for Windows XP, it is recommend you to get further support in the corresponding community so that you can get the most qualified pool of respondents. Thanks for your understanding. For your convenience, I have list the related link as followed.
