XP UCC Certificate RDS 2012

With an RDS 2012 setup in order to avoid certificate prompts from off-domain (external) clients you must use a certificate with the all the session host names as well as the external gateway name. This means using a UCC certificate.

If you have XP client however, UCC certificates are not supported and you get an error about an Unexpected Server Authentication Certificate.

Does anyone know a workaround to this? So you can still use XP clients to connect to RemoteApps without seeing certificate prompts for the individual session hosts after launching the app through RDWeb?

Cheers

Hi,

Could you post your Unexpected Server Authentication Certificate errors? You can buy the UCC cert from 3rd party.Because i am not an expert with XP whether the ucc is supported.I didn't get issues from customers that reflect UCC cert problem on the XP.

Clarence
