Wrong disk size after expanding system drive on a VM machine.
Hi, I have expanded a system drive on a Windows 2008 sp1 server. But c: drive still shows wrong size in explorer. Have anyone else seen this strange thing?

It would be suggested to restart your VM.
Thanks,

A drive/disk and a volume is not the same. I interpret your question as if you have expanded the virtual disk in your VM. Have you also extended the volume (C:)?

Try to use partition magic server, the reliable partition utilities for solving users' kind problems like you. Change the partition size again to the expect size.

Had the same issue with a disk inside a VM. Gui did not extend the filesystem. Went into Diskpart, Select volume #, extend filesystem, worked like a charm!
