Hi Vegan, Please clarify your concern or issue in detail, so that we can provide accurate information. For your first goal, please install IIS. IIS is not installed by default on Windows Server 2003. Please note that for simple security reasons IIS should only be installed on member servers, not domain controllers. Regarding how to install IIS, please check the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/750d3137-462c-491d-b6c7-5f370d7f26cd.mspx?mfr=true For the second goal, do you want to install Exchange Server? For Exchange Server related issue, please submit a new thread on the Exchange forum, refer to: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/category/exchangeserver For file server role, please refer to: File server role: Configuring a file server http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc780253(WS.10).aspx Can you install Webmatrix and its update properly? If you need assistance on Webmatrix, please submit a new thread on the IIS forum. Refer to: http://forums.iis.net/ Thanks for your understanding. I have removed Server 2003 and replaced it with Server 2008. Web pages are now working as expected. Seems server 2003 has some problems that require more work than I feel is worth it to get the job done. Long before I was recognized for my Windows talent, I was using Linux as Server 2003 was useless to my needs. All it means is I leaned how to use that platform well, which is simply more talent in my portfolio. I guess the pitch Do More with Less is evident with Server 2008. The problem is that my gaming box is a far faster machine than my web server which is an old machine I had kicking around. It still works, disk has 42,000 hours on it, no problem. I tested all flavors of Windows server. Its clear that virtualization is important for Windows shops from what I have learned. Server 2008 R2 finally gets that working. I simply used the Windows 7 Virtual PC to do the IT study. I actually deleted the VMs once I figured out what server I needed to use. I like that Linux is not a dirty word at Microsoft anymore. Expression studio works fine as does Visual Studio no matter what you use for a server. Evidently Hyper-V can almost reach the inquiry I first made about Hyper-V by asking about 1000 instances of Linux. That means Microsoft is good for large scale virtualization which is very attractive. SSL servers cannot be used in a virtual host due to SSL not being part of the HTTP designs. SSL is below HTTP so the server has no way to deal with the headers properly. Both Windows and Linux has this problem. I am already clearly good with IT, but there is always more to explore.
