are you refering to the best steps to change PC from domain to workgroup? 1) Backup User Profile (mostly this step can be skip as very very minimum possibity that problem will cause) 2) Create Local account Profile 3) Change to Workgroup 4) Restart PC 5) Log in with local account and log off 6) Log in with another local account Right click Computer -> Property -> Advanced -> User Profile -> Copy to 7) After the copy profile is done, you can log in with the local account

Hi, Before going further, wed better confirm the current issue first. You mentioned the software cant work on domain, what does it mean? Please provide more information about this. Also you said you want to know the best way to take a workgroup network and make it into domain, do you mean you want to know how to join a computer to domain? If so, we could refer to the following article. How to Join Your Computer to a Domain http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456990.aspx Or if you want to know how to move a computer from a domain to a workgroup, I suggest we could refer to the article below. Moving from a Domain to Workgroup http://www.articlejobber.com/tutorial/domain_to_workgroup_20060220_1.html Since the information isnt clear, in order to resolve the issue, I suggest wed better provide more detailed information about your current issue and your request.
