Hello, Could you please elaborate more what you are trying to accomplish it. first thing ensure yourself that why are you going to implement a server at your place and plan accordingly. You mean roles in the sense, is it general server roles or Active Directory roles(FSMO)? Regards, Ravikumar P

It depends on what roles you need. Some can run happily together on one machine, some are best on a dedicated machine. It also depends on the workload. Multiple roles running on a test machine may be fine but perform poorly under heavy load. Bill
