Hi, Can you please navigate to Event Viewer to check whether there are any error? By the way, was the problematic computer shutting down at a special time or anytime in one day? In addition, please help me to collect the following information: 1. What’s the exact meaning of “I just installed sp 2010” in your description? 2. How long have you installed Windows Server 2008? Have you activated it? Best Regards, Vincent Hu

Hello, Did you have the same hardware operating fine before installing Server 2008 or is this new hardware? Does it auto-shutdown if you boot up and leave it running in safe mode? MiguelMiguel Fra / Falcon ITS Computer & Network Support, Miami, FL Visit our Knowledgebase Sharepoint Site

Are you by chance running a beta version of the operating system? Is this a legal version of the Operating System? Beta versions have all begun their shutdown routines as they are no longer valid versions of the Operating System. View my MCP Certifications
