Dear All,
When trying to upload data and going though the directories, its hanging. Giving an error. it saying "150 Opening ASCII mode data connection" and hang. i closed the firewall also. and give the random ports also. please help to overcome this issue.

Hi,
Check that IIS is not running Active FTP. I am guessing that you set the firewall up to allow port 21 which would be fine for standard FTP
Active FTP uses a random un-privilaged port so its hard to make this available over firewall. I think (from little experience of using active FTP I might add) port 1023 is the port my server always defaulted to.
Check/Monitor your firewall as you initiate the FTP session and it will soon inform you what ports are being used.
