Windows search
Windows search has morphed from something simple and extremely easy to use, to something that is more than I want it to be. This AM I had to reboot once, and re-start my search service in order to search for files.
I appreciate that there are some rocket scientists that really need to do complex searches, but for my own part, I have lost nearly 1/4th of a days work because my overly complex search functionality is failing.
Is there any way to roll back to the simple search of yester-year or am I stuck with this @#$%{! search?

Try to perform what is mentioned in this article so that you reset Windows Search:

I think this should solve your problem.

If you are using Vista/2008 or later, you are likely stuck.

What OS are you using and what is prompting you to reboot?
