Windows could not load installer for volume
I am NOT computer wise so please can someone help me. I know this is a problem that a lot of people a lot wiser than me are having problems with also as I see it posted. I have just purchased an Iomega desktop prestige externam hard drive 1tb and my computer recognises that new hard ware has been connected but I get the message "Windows cannot load installer for volume please contact your vendor". I have been trying to find a solution to this for weeks. I have a small external hard drive 150gb and it works but my son's 500 won't work either. I would really appreciate if someone can help me. PS Iomega tech support want $25 to give me any help. Cheers Adele

It sounds a like a driver issue. Get the update the driver from the Iomega site and install it. Follow their installation instructions. https://iomega-na-en.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iomega_na_en.cfg/php/enduser/cci/product.php Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
