Windows can not detect CPU core and thread with mutliple core option has enable in BIOS
Hi All,
Any one had encounter this problem as BIOS setting show multi-core has enable in BIOS setting, inside Windows Device Manager also can see the core are detected but when check in Windows Task Manager->Performance or check with CPU-Z tool, it just detect
1 core 1 thread running only. Server CPU usage always spikes to 100% so i suspect this server is not running in 6 core 12 thread. Is this relate to windows OS issues? I have check on hardware it show correct processor with 6 core 12 thread when getting hardware
log.
Processor: Intel
Xeon X5670, 6 cores, 12 thread
OS: Windows 2008 R2 Standard
This server running as DC holding 5 FMSO role and File service install as a file server also. Please find attached attachment for more detail.
Thank

Hello,
Use below Intel tool to identify your processor info. This is good and gives more info about our processor.
