Windows Time Service
I have recently installed SP2 and othe updates on my Server. Since that time I have not been able to view my other drives in explore and Windows time service does not start correctly. It continously lists "starting" in the service aplet.I dont know if the two problems are related but any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Not sure if this is theoptimum answer but in the end this is what resolved the issue.Windows Server 2008Uninstalled Updated KB956744 and KB971557.Rebooted. - opend command prompt and enterd msdtc - uninstall then msdtc - installed followed by sc query msdtc to confirm that service was running.- this cleard errors related to Win Time Service, MSDTC errors and an associated Applicaiton errorOn the Server Side:On my AD Server I created a new GPO to pubulish a short cut to "My Network Places" on client PC.- I placed this new GPO at the root and selected Link Enabled. I unchecked the Link Enabledin the default domain policy- at command prompt I entered gpupdate /force. I followed this with a server reboot. On the client side:- Rebooted the client and logged onto the domain.- Confirmed that the shortcut appeared in "My Netwrok Places".- All previously missing shortcuts began to appear in both "My Computer" and "Windows Explorer".Not sure why this worked. I tried publishing a network drive (not shortcut)with a GPO but it did not work. It wasnt untill I performed the steps outlined above that I was able to resolve the problem.
