We have a HP StoreEasy 1440 running Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Standard. My question is can we use its Hyper-V role to install Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard inside Hyper-V and install MSSQL 2008 R2 onto Windows 2008R2. We have licenses for Windows 2008R2 and SQL. According to Storage Server license terms there is limitation on functions supported: enterprise database software is not allowed to run. Won't Hyper-V schema somehow violate licensing terms too?
