Windows Service problem
Hi I've created a windows service that starts a number of processes that need an interactive user. When logged in all works fine. When I reboot the server my windows service is started, but my processes are not started. I guess that this has to with the fact that I've not logged on. My question: Is there a possibility to start the processes without having to logon to the server (2008)? Thanks in advance Marco Ortelee

hello, i think that services were created originally to run background processes without requiring a logon or user interraction.

Without saying more details it is not easy to give an exact answer. I recommend the following for proper windows services creation: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251192 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/9k985bc9.aspx http://blogs.msdn.com/b/pkc/archive/2008/12/31/windows-service.aspx Give it a try in MSDN Furums.
