Is there a date set for when either TechNet or DreamSpark premium users can download the RTM of Windows Server 2012 or will we have to wait until September 4th release? We will be setting up our labs over the next week, and would like to know if it available.

According to Windows server 2012 RTM blog, seems it will be available on September 4. General Availability is September 4, not TechNet/DreamSpark.

According to the Microsoft rep on the UK website, Windows Server 2012 will be posted on DreamSpark as soon as the ISO is repackaged into the DreamSpark format. Estimated release date to DreamSpark is Sep 15. what excacty is dreamspark format? those are just normal ISOs, and even if it was anyway different. its only about a 3gb file, "repacking" it would take no more then 5-20 minutes depending on computer speed.

I was informed that Dreamspark would push the bits down 'soon' - so, probably sometime this month. Dreamspark doesn't repackage into a special format, however MSDNAA (Dreamspark Premium) pulls two separate *.SDC packages that get validated and merged into an ISO. I'm pretty sure that's what DavidMichaels was referring to.-Seth
