Windows Server 2008 blue screens
I am not sure where the best place to put this would be so feel free to move it if necessary, sorry! I am having an issue with a HP Proliant Server ML310 running Windows Server 2008 x64 and I can't quite put my finger on what it is. I am repeatedly getting three different blue screens at random intervals. Sometimes, it will go five days without a blue screen, other days it can't make it 5 hours. The three blue screens I am getting are 0x77, 0x7A, and 0xF4. I have not retrieved a single minidump file yet, I guess because the kernel is crashing or something, not really sure. I have the machine set to not restart on blue screen and to create a minidump, but it hasn't done that yet. I have been on with HP Support for about ten hours total now running diagnostics and whatnot but they can't seem to figure out their own machine. Here is what I have done up until this point to try to resolve this error. 1. Ran antivirus and malware scans, saw no issues there. 2. used Ultradefrag to defrag the page file, system files, etc. 3. moved page file to another drive, changed size manually. 4. installed all current Windows updates. 5. installed all current drivers for all hardware. 6. update firmware on raid controller 7. raid controller has been replaced twice by HP. 8. Ran chkdsk several times over, no errors. 9. verified physical connections on hard drives. This is the central server we use for our place of business and I have noticed that when we put our backup server in place and this server just sits idle off the network, it will run forever without a single blue screen. When it is on the network and being accessed, we keep our shared files and documents on the secondary drive and have a SQL database on the primary drive that is accessed by about ten registers. So I feel like it only blue screens when under heavy load from the other workstations. The only other thing I could think to do that I haven't done yet because I honestly don't think it will help is to do a repair install of Windows Server or even a fresh install. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I can debug dump files for you. Please use Microsoft Skydrive to upload dump files (c:\windows\minidumps). Once done, post a link here. You can also contact Microsoft CSS for assistance. Check if there is MEMORY.DMP file under c:\windows. Once found, zip it and upload it. Bug Check Code 0xF4: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff560372(v=VS.85).aspx Bug Check Code 0x77: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559197(v=VS.85).aspx Bug Check Code 0x7A: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559211(v=VS.85).aspx Run chkdsk /r /f, update all possible drivers, perform a clean boot (disable all startup items in msconfig except Microsoft ones) and uninstall all unwanted programs. Hi, I would like to suggest you update the BIOS and the hardware drivers first. You may also analyze them with Debugging Tools by yourself. You can install it and it’s Symbol Packages from the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/Devtools/Debugging/default.mspx WinDbg will tell you the possible cause. For more information, please read Microsoft KB article below: How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315263 If no clue can be found, you may contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. To troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;OfferProPhone#faq607 Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
