Windows Server 2008 and WDS weird issue
I am having a rather odd issue with WDS on our system. I am able to upload the images from a client fine and even deploy off of that uploaded image perfectly fine, however the image does NOT show up in the Install Image group in the WDS management console. I can see the physical files in the proper folder and the image pops up in the options list for an install image when you boot Windows PE off the server, but I can not find the entry in WDS anywhere. This is a problem because I need to be able to attach a windows unattended install file to it. When I manually added the install image it made a copy ( summer09-(2).wim ) and added it along side the origional image in the list of options on boot. Has anyone else come accross this issue before?

Hi Joseph, Lets try below: 1. Close the WDS console. 2. Click Start, right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator. 3. Type below and press Enter: WDSUTIL /Uninitialize-Server 4. Type below and press Enter: WDSUTIL /Initialize-Server /RemInst:"C:\RemoteInstall" Note: I am assuming the RemoteInstall folder exists in Drive C. If not, please change the drive letter. Now open the WDS console and check the result. Hope it helps. Tim Quan - MSFT
